My Accord won't accelerate
Hello to all,
I have a major problem with my 2002 Accord LX 2.3.
The vehicle has sat for about a year and i have decided to drive it again, but part of why it was parked is the following:
The vehicle has a rough idle and when the accelerator pedal is pressed it gets to 1200 rpm and starts sputtering and hesitating and then shuts off. If i floor the pedal, it sputters and shuts of by its self. The rpm indicator fluctuates between 0-1000 rpm. The vehicle displayed while or bluish smoke for the first 6 days but stopped doing that.
So far, i have done the following:
1- New exhaust system from headers to muffler
2- new spark plugs and coils and distributor cap and rotor.
3- I've cleaned the erg ports and valve mechanism.
4- I've changed the engine oil and put a new filter.
5- i've cleaned the fuel injectors and replaced the associated grommets and seals
6- i've purchased a new fuel pump and filter.
7- a new fuel pressure regulator has been installed
8- I've removed and cleaned the throttle body
9- i've removed and cleaned the air control valve and it appears to be in great condition and working properly.
My issue is i'm tired of throwing parts in it. I'm considering replacing the distributor, but does anyone have an idea of what else i should tackle.
Your suggestions are much appreciated.

Try spinning the distributor before you replace, my experience with no acceleration was answerd by change in the ignition timing, which then got me flying around town lol.
Hope this helps
Hope this helps
Hopefully your timing is better than mine, my neibors got a light I figure if you need something done right you just gotta do it yourself, I'm having problems until vtec kicks in at first I stops the coughing, it's just ear tuned by yours truly, symptoms only late in the cold rocky nights
