Default ZC's

What is the Engine code for the DOHC ZC? is it the D16A1? Also when swapping this engine into an 89 CRX Si, what do i need to change out? ECU, Mounts, etc...

The ZC engine code is ZC...hehe The d16a1 is from the 88-89 integra. You will need the engine longblock, use your trans, and run an 88-89 integra ecu or use your own ecu. That is it. It is a very very easy swap into an Si

if you're using your trans and your hubs than I don't see any reason why you would change your axels.

if your doing a zc swap into a 88-91 crx, this site is the BEST

http://dmoore.com/crx/zc.htm#ZC%20Parts%20List

It tells you everything you have to change, and a lot of stuff you should change

kshymkiw, assuming you have a 88-91 honda civic/crx si model...

If you use just the ZC motor:

-Replace the alternator (civic),

-Replace the distributor (89 integra)

-Replace the wires and plugs (89 integra)

-Replace gaskets and timing belt, waterpump (for longivitiy of the motor)

-Replace clutch (better now than later)

-Replace ECU with 88-89 5 speed or ZC ecu (better performance that the civic si)

If you use the ZC motor and tranny

-all of the above and

-90-91 intermediate shaft or the ZC shaft if it's still connected

-88-89 or 90-91 axles

As far as the wiring for the distributor, I forgot, sorry...hopefully someone here remebers...

Engine codes are the same as the 88-91 civic/crx si or the 88-89 integra...
