Hello from Pennsylvania! CR-V owner

Just a quick hello to forum members. Call me Rambonurse. I live in the Pittsburgh, PA area and have owned Honda's for a better portion of my life now. First, an '87 Accord that I was disappointed I had to trade in for my 2001 CR-V. Would have loved to keep both, but no reason for a single person to do so! Hondas are the BEST CARS EVER. And is now the reason I am joining you all. My CR-V still works great, but as time goes on, there are little things here and there popping up just because if its age. Looking for tips and ideas on how to keep my car functioning well for another 50K miles! I only have about 87K on my car, so a lot of good years left, if I can keep it from rusting out from the salt-filled winters!!! I am NOT a car geek, nor by any means a car 'tinkerer'. I'm actually pretty 'dumb' when it comes to all that. Saying that, it doesn't mean that I'm not willing to learn and try!
As my name indicates - I'm a Registered Nurse - work in Intensive Care and education of new nurses. I also have a second job breeding Siberian Cats out of our home (I live with my sister right now - it is her cattery). A lot of fun, and I am the 'care-taker' and 'nurse midwife' of the the mom cats. My CR-V is our transport car for vet visits, supply pickups, and kitten deliveries at times. I drive my CR-V in 'cargo' mode nearly 100% of the time because of this.
Looking forward to interacting and learning from others on this forum - maybe I'll be able to give some perspective, if not actual advice!
