Default Removal of Sound Deadning

Hi Gents

I am planning on a H2B Setup on my EK and I have the EUDM vti spec that came with the B16a

I will be removing the AC and PS and I also want to bemove the sound deadning on the cabin floor. Is their a noticeable difference in performance when doing this

Other than slightly lightening the car I don't think you'll see a vast improvement.

Didn't really see much with my unintentional removal in the truck. When I bought the EM1, the previous owner spilled used oil where the spare tire resides. The sound deadening material had soaked in oil so long, it practically pealed off.

Only worth 20-30lbs at most. Not time effective.

It's something to do when you are out of money to buy anything That's what I did haha. I didn't notice a difference other then more noise.

FMN716,
If you don't mind me asking, what method of sound deadening removal do you plan to use?

I once did this in the spare wheel well of my other car which was a prelude and I used dry ice and chisel and mallet

Applied big pieces and with a thick layer left it for 5 min and with the chisel and mallet popped off big pieces

There might be some small pieces left but the dry ice and scapping motion of the chisel will get the job done.

PS it uses quite a lot of dry ice depending on the season

But after the replies I am in in 2 minds of doing this
