2008 Honda civic lx engine swap
Hello,
I currently have a 2008 Honda civic automatic with a 1.8l engine and was wondering if I can swap it out for a 08 civic ex engine to gain some more hp. The current engine died on me so I was looking around at what kind of options I have. I was told to get the same liter engine so I don't have to spend much on modifications, thanks in advance and sorry if I sound like a newbie I'm new to this whole car thing.

the 1.8l in you 2008 civic is the same 1.8 in the 08 civic ex meaning no power gains at all...
It's a direct swap and the one that is the cheapest also!

You will gain nothing but a newer engine if you do the swap. And it is literally plug'n'play.
How in the world did your stock r18 die on you? Motors are bullet proof. I can see if you red lined it every day with no oil but still.. I see them come in my shop with hardly any oil with 200k miles and beyond and still run.
