I was rolling my window up and while in motion I heard a loud snap, and then the window slowly went down and now is stuck fully open.......any advice on what it could be or at least point me in the right direction, as we all are on a budget I am hoping I can avoid the dealership to fix it.

There are 2 bolts that secure the glass to the window regulator. It is possible those bolts managed to wiggle their way out of the window regulator. If so pretty easy fix. The other possibility is the regulator is broken. I believe these window regulators have a cable in them that tend to break, in this case you will need to replace the regulator.

Either way not a hard fix. You will just need to remove the door panel and weather barrier and inspect the window regulator.
