Default Fuel Pump Fuse Problem

Hi im new to this forum and am having a problem with my fuel pump fuse going out in my 93 civic lx, but what i think is wierd about this situation is that it only blows out the fuse going over 60mph. It all started when i completely removed my ac system because it didnt work anyway, but me being the idiot and noob that i am, i forgot to disconnect the battery.
So first thought, i created a short. I also thought though, wouldnt the fuse blow out regardless of speed as long as the wire heats up or makes contact. Also thought it was my fuel pump, so i got a new one, did nothing. Im not sure if its the fuel filter or fuel pressure regulator because my car isnt showing symptoms of those parts going out, so im not convinced. Any insight and help would be apreciated, thank you.

Well if its a short you can check for that with a multimeter it shouldnt be too hard to do.I have seen pinched wires do some weird stuff too I am not saying thats the issue but the only way to really be sure is to take a look at the wiring from the fuel pump all the way up to under the dash.

It might be length of drive and not simply mph. Try letting it idle for a longer period or a longer drive at a slower speed. Might be a bad connection and wires are getting hot.

What fuse blows, I know you said fuel pump fuse but technically there are 3 fuses related to the fuel pump, [PGM-FI Main Relay specifically].

There is a 12V + constant, [hot at all times] fuel injector power
A 12V+ switched, [hot in run and start] injector relay control and power for the fuel pump.
A 2nd 12V+ switched, [hot when cranking to start only] "back-up" power for the fuel pump relay.

Any one of the above, if blown, will prevent fuel pump from working. 94

Sorry for the late reply, i finally fixed the problem, it was an open wire inside the drivers side door panel that the previous owner simply left hanging. I taped them up and problem solved, thank you
