I have a 1995 EG Hatch. DX. No front sway bar. so please don't say it's sway bar bushings.

The issue I'm experiencing is a ridiculous front end knocking/clunking. It is VERY prominent when I go over very small, repeated bumps in the road, like washboard bumps or similar.

I believe I have limited it to being a vertical motion, which is why it's so prominent when going over rapid small bumps.
It is a loud (to me), rapid, firm clunking. I can hear it clearly and feel it in the steering wheel and the floor.

I have jacked it up and gotten under it SEVERAL times and just yanked on everything. Everything is 100% solid. I replaced all tie rods and all ball joints within the last 3-4k miles and it has only gotten worse.

I bought an energy suspension master bushing kit hoping I would fix it in the process of replacing all the bushings, but I'm not sure I want to go through that hassle. Installing a master bushing kit is probably more work than I'm willing to put into the car as I'm going to sell it soon. but I won't sell it with an issue like this. I'm getting kinda scared to drive the thing!

thanks for any help. I'm very mechanically inclined, but I'm strongly considering take it for a front end alignment just for them to tell me the issue. But I'm a bit worried the technician won't drive it in a way to hear the noise, or not be experienced enough to find play in the system.
