Default Handbrake Button Thread Pitch?

Hi Guys,

I recently bought a Cusco handbrake button except it doesn't seem to want to thread on properly so I'm thinking of just retapping it. Does anyone by chance know the thread pitch for the handbrake button? Thanks.

^it is threaded, I've already taken it off and can confirm it. The spring just sits behind the button.

I agree with 94rs-turbo; I remember when I disassembled my handbrake once and the spring shot the silver release button off the handle it was on...

Maybe there are threads there, but mine just slid on and off with the spring providing the tension.

It is threaded I have swapped buttons on mine. I used the black buton from an 87 integra lever on a 98 ITR lever. Best bed it to wrap the button with something to protect it and get a grip on and use channel locks or something similar to unscrew and screw it back on. Step one is to first remove the plastic grip cover.
