So i swapped out the condenser today in the quest of getting the a/c working. Once everyone was connected the condenser fan comes on with the ign totally off.

any ideas?

You are trying to find the exact issue in the repair manual, that is not how it works. What you need to do is look up the wiring diagram for the condensor fan circuit and find out if the relay is also in working condition.

Yes this tidibits are in the repair manual.

 

I understand that most issues are not in the Service manual by default. But more or less some of the troubleshooting procedures are. For example testing the Heater Blower. So yes when i get home i'll have to figure out why that fan now comes on automatically.

It shows you how to test relays, and a wiring diagram is provided. Not sure what else you need. Helms manual does not provide a free multimeter so that will have to be bought by the tech, which is you.

 

update swapped relays with the AC clutch and guess what the fan did? The fan didn't come on with the ign off. Can you guess what the A/c compressor clutch did?? turned on... So it's the relay. Then i took the faulty relay and smacked it against the ground and temporarily fixed it.
