Default Does my J30A5 drop RPM in steps in neutral?

I asked in Accord section and got treated like Ive never driven a manual, so I will cross post here. I'd hope for a proper answer.

Any time I run a gear to redline and clutch it at the top, the engine doesnt drop to idle swift and smooth like my old cars, instead dropping about 750-1200 RPM with a mild pause before dropping again til it hits idle.

Is this a normal behavior? Safety feature? This is my first drive by wire car, always had throttle cable before so I assume theres more control possibility.

I believe it does that because it thinks you may want to take off again soon/fast. Thats what ive theorized when ive seen it do that for me.
