1. Check for P1359. If it is stored with any other codes(P0335, P0336, P1361) troubleshoot those first.

2. Reset PCM.

3. Start engine.
Do the above codes appear?

No. Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time.
Check for bad/loose connections at CKP/TDC sensor and PCM.

Yes. Go to step 4

4. Turn ignition Off.

5. Disconnect CKP/TDC sensor 4P connector, and measure resistance between its terminals for given codes.

4P terminal
*clip*
1 2
3 4

P1361/P1362 measure across terminal 1 & 2
P0335/P0336 measure across terminal 3 & 4

Is there 1850-2450Ω ?

No. Replace TDC sensor

Yes. Go to step 6.

6. Check for continuity from body ground to terminals...
P1361/P1362 measure from ground terminal to 1 & from ground terminal 2
P0335/P0336 measure from ground terminal to 3 & from ground terminal 4

Is there continuity?

Yes. Replace TDC sensor.

No. Go to step 7

7. Reconnect TDC 4P connector.

8. Disconnect PCM connector(31 pin)
Measure resistance between terminals for resistance.
P0335/P0336 measure across pin 20 & 21
P1361/P1362 measure across pin 8 & 9.

Is there 1850-2450Ω ?

No. Repair open in sensor wire harness

Yes. Go to step 9.

9. Check for continuity between PCM connector to ground.
P1361/P1362 measure across pin 8
P0335/P0336 measure across pin 20

Is there continuity?

Yes. Repair short in sensor wire harness.

No. Substitute known good PCM and recheck for codes.
If issues go away, replace original PCM.
