Default Replacing fuel pump

hey whats up ht people. i have a question i found an access panel in the trunk of my 94 accord ex and looks like if its for the fuel pump but im wondering if im wrong? can anyone help since i seen people saying you have to drop the fuel tank

90-97 u must drop tank for fuel pump
98-02 has access hole

that hole is for wiring and fuel sender unit

I'm pretty sure that is just for testing, you will not be able to remove the pump sending unit assembly through that access hole. If your pump is actually dead you will have to drop the tank to replace it.

There is a ghetto floor cutting mod that some people do. However, I am not a fan of cutting extra holes in the floor over fuel lines, so I have no idea how it's done!
