SOLD!!!
-Please have CASH in hand.
Selling my 1990 Honda CRX.
I bought this car from a friend of mine a few months back with the thought of fixing its small issues and tracking it to no end. Since then...it has sat in storage. So...I'm putting it up for sale. If it doesn't sell...NBD.
I am not very well versed in K swapped cars. So please bear with me as I describe the car the best I can.
PLEASE READ THE AD THAT I TOOK TIME TO TYPE OUT. You'll find lots of info! Thanks in advance!
Located in OSWEGO IL. Car must be picked up from OSWEGO IL. www.google.com/maps.
It's a 1990 chassis. Car is originally from California. I still have the California plates that were good till 2014. It is now titled in IL. I have the clean IL title in hand! . I don't believe this car has ever seen snow.
-NO RUST at all. The bolts under the car are still shiny. The car has been resprayed...so there's probably body filler on it to fix up whatever dents or imperfections were on it. But NO RUST. No evidence of prior rust.
-Unknown mileage (has a S2000 cluster) with K tuned adapter
-K20A2 full swap. With 02-04 Type S 6spd manual trans. Does not burn OR leak any fluids. No overheating. No weird noises. VTEC works. Car rips super hard.
-I believe it has a KPRO. It looks like a type S ECU with a port on it.
-AEM wideband
-HASPORT mounts
-Full energy bushing master kit.
-F&F type 1 coilovers.
-JDM ITR 36MM 5 LUG
--WELD Weldstar wheels. 225/45/15 Nitto NT01 tires (R comps). This wheelset is probably worth about $2200-2500 by itself. Forged 3pc wheels. Wheels/tires are almost new. Tires are new enough that the mold hairs are still on them.
-JDM front end
-Traction bar
-RCA adjuster front lower ball joints
-Skunk2 front camber kit. BRAND NEW SPC camber kit and brand new UCAs also included.
-DC race header.
-Full 2.75'' or 3'' stainless steel catback exhaust (no cat). Sounds suuuuuuper nice.
-NO heat. NO AC. NO PS.
There's probably more stuff on the car that I either haven't discovered yet...or don't know what I'm looking at.
The downsides:
-The car needs wiring work. Whomever wired it was...really bad at wiring. It looks as if someone tried a wire tuck and failed. I would buy a junkyard CRX dash/engine bay harness and just plug it in. The current situation is that most of the cluster doesn't work (speedo, heat gauge, etc).
-The shift cable has a fray in it. So the shifting isn't as smooth as factory. It still goes thru all gears and there's nothing wrong with the trans.
-Mismatched body panel colours.
-Seats have usual wear spots.
-I let it sit for months and now the battery weakened up. It will take a jump or roll start. I'm sure you can recharge the battery.
I am being completely up front about the car. It needs more time than money. I feel like this car could be problem free in a few days of solid work and maybe like $200-300 in parts. You need shift cables and a harness from a junkyard. After that...it's super premium.
-$5800 FIRM as a whole.
-$5000 FIRM without wheels.
-Looking for cash only. No trades (except maybe an ITR).
-No offers lower than the firm prices stated, please.
I believe that is a very fair price. This is the last price drop before I start parting it out!
Thanks for looking!

Sure, I'll be in the area on Tuesday (tomorrow). You just want pics of the wiring/shift cable problems?
If a part out was to occur please reachy out to me. There's quit a few parts I could use. Otherwise good luck with the sale!!

^Thanks!
As an update, I went and re-routed the cables properly and fixed the broken sheathing with some aluminum tube. It shifts well now!!
Ultimately, one probably would want replacement cables if really crisp and smooth shifting (like factory) was desired. But the car is 100% driveable at this point.

^GLWS, bud.
Un related to any of the above posts:
The numerous texts/emails I have recieved have had the following questions:
"How low will you go?"
"What is your bottom dollar"
Right off the bat, that means the person has 0 intention of actually buying anything unless I say something asinine like "$500".
This is evidenced by the fact that there's never a reply from their end after i promptly and politely respond to their ignorant question.
Make me an offer, guys. I don't wanna sound rude, but if I were to ask "what's the most you're willing to pay?" I'd sound like a goddamn *******.
Make a reasonable offer, please. For an amount that you actually have in cash.
