Default Buying 2007 Civic Si

Hey everyone.

I finally have found my upgrade to my current 97 civic ex w/230k miles.

07 civic SI coupe, red with 125k miles. Owner has taken very good care of it, but just in case I am having a Honda dealer do a Pre-Sale inspection to make sure i am not getting a lemon.

I checked the recalls on this year, and will have the dealer do a check by VIN but so far from the feedback of the seller (who is very upfront/honest about it). The only things that have gone wrong with it recall related are the sun visors. No grinding in 3rd gear, no uneven/fast tire wear, clear coat looks good on the roof from what I can tell.

Best part of all (besides that) is that he works in a jiffy-lube/repair type shop and does all the fluid/oil changes/tire rotations there when they need to happen.

I feel pretty good about the car. It has the normal outside wear from being a 7 yr old car, but looks legit. Drives great, and hasn't been modified with all the hondata/intake/exhaust/lowering etc I have seen in the SI's for sale in my area.

If it were you buying this car, how much would you pay for this car?
(none of this DEPENDS on blah blah blah) its in good condition, not excellent on the outside as it has a scratch here in there and looks like a few swirl marks, but inside is excellent condition, well maintained. Other than that I think the only major items i see in the future would be clutch replacement, and bearing replacement for the other 3 wheels. Any input on what i need to watch out for? I have already agreed on a price with him, and just am wanting a little reassurance and hoping there might be additional input on what to watch out for just to CYA in addition to the honda dealer pre-sale inspection.

THANKS!

Well, I purchased the car yesterday. Honda dealer pre sale inspection found a rear strut was leaking and the front 'dust covers' for the struts/shocks were torn. The seller replaced both rear shocks/struts and replaced front dust covers.

The car is stock except the following:
Upgraded speakers.
Projector headlights
Ceramic tint
Hands free device
Weighted shifter ****
Drilled and slotted rotors in back and front.
Some led accent lighting at the feet that can be turned off/switched between colors. Nice but not crazy about it. I like the red because the car is red.

Bought it for $7,200 and am loving it! I like dropping it into 3rd gear on the freeway to pass. Then before I realize it I'm going way too fast. No tickets yet! I need to post up a calendar that says "X days ticket free" until I can get off deferred disposition from my last ticket... And that was with an old 97 Civic EX.

Anyway, here's to another 100k miles or so!
