EFI Conversion suggestions and opinions.
Hey everyone. I recently purchased my ED and am considering kicking off the modding with an EFI conversion before anything big happens. Basically I am looking for some serious advice from anyone who has done the conversion from the carbonated D15 to Injected, what tank, pump, lines, ECU, etc you used and approximately how much it cost all up.
I have read a few forums already from others who have done to previously and one rather extremely detailed one suggesting which tank is best fitted. From what have gathered, the DA9 integra tank is the way to go but i have also seen a few regarding external fuel pumps and surge tanks. Anything on this concerning opnions and facts on which is better as well would be greatly appreciated.
Comment away yo.

ok first of you dont need a integra tank. you dont even need to swap your fuel tank or lines. they are the same. also for the conversion you need a intake everything attached. use the stock dx harness. you will have a hard time with a SI harness reason being is the fuel injector wires on the si harness run from the intake to driver side fender then under dash across to ECU. DX harness wires run from intake to passenger side streight to ecu behind firewall. so it is possible but thats alot of work to run 4 wire underdash and across the firewall just from driver to passenger side. just saying. so you need intake with all attachments, spare harness, Extra Wire, Solder gun, + intake gasket. i recommend the Waxi paper gasket vs the graphite/lead gasket. its just easier to take off and replace. also i recommend getting some Aftermarket long studs i go with Arev off ebay very good quality. and follow the instructions of what ever write up you follow. i recommend using OEM Color coded wire and following the SI codes. i dont recommend using the OEM DX red/yellow/brown wires since they will greatly confuse you when wiring/welding **** up. i had a spare SI harness that i obliterated to keep the Stock Fuel Injection wire colors. also you need the SI ECU/Dizzy.
i converted a 1978 or so civic wagon to efi. we used the stock feed line as the return line and ran a new feed line, ran an external pump. in our case we replaced the entire engine due to lack of manifold usable with efi for the engine. I wired it up by removing every wire we didnt need (like lights etc) from a chassis harness and the engine harness, then spliced in the power wires from the new harness to the factory harness, hid the ecu that matched the engine and it drove fine.
Personally i would not covnert to efi and would instead look at an upgraded carb, but that is just me.
