1997 Honda Del Sol S ECU VTEC
Hello H-T!
Long time lurker, first time poster. So, I recently bought a 1997 Del Sol S. It has a D16Z6 motor with a 37820-P1Z-A02 ecu. The VTEC solenoid and pressure switch aren't wired, but I plan on doing it as per this diagram, as my ecu is OBD2A: .:FFS TechNet : OBD2a ECU Pin out Schematics :.
My question is, is this ecu a VTEC ecu and will simply wiring the solenoid and pressure switch into my ecu be enough to get my VTEC up and running?
Thank you!

If you can find an ODB2 P28, sure, not very common though. A P2P would be easier to find if you need to stay OBD2 for emisions testing. It wil look for a fuel tank pressure sensor your car doesn't have and throw a CEL. It doesn't effect drivability and there's a bypass to eliminate or reduce the frequency of the code, or you could run an OBD1 P28 with a OBD2A to OBD1 conversion harness if you don't have to worry about emissions.
