Default How to keep that darn window straight?

So the window on my 91 civic keeps going up tilted. I set it straight and after a bit it starts doing it again. I got another regulator from a junkyard set it straight and after a bit it its doing it again. Anybody know how to fix it? Do i need a new rubber thing (run channel?). I was also thinking maybe drilling the bottom right hole more to the left so the glass sits tighter in there.

My driver window keeps doing this too. When rolling up it pulls itself out of the B pillar channel and tilts toward the windshield and gets wedged crooked and completely stuck. I then have to pull the door panel off and remove the glass and reset the whole thing. This repeatedly happens to me. It appears as if the regulator is designed to have the glass slide forward toward the front of the car for some reason but on my car it keeps making the glass get stuck. I've been meaning to get a spare regulator at the JY but after your experience I'm not sure that will help

Make sure the rubber in the channels is intact and clean, then lubricate them.

I noticed that my glass is leaning towards the front of the car and when I roll it up it leaves a crack. If I hold the front of the glass up while I roll it up it goes up fine. Is this the regulator or can it be adjusted somehow?

There is no adjustment. The window has two plastic pieces epoxied to the bottom, these bolt into the regulator. Make sure these plastic pieces are not cracked, and are securely mounted to the regulator. If that checks out then the regulator is shot, very common on 25 year old cars.

Keeping the rubber window channel clean and lubed will help slightly.

Actually there is an adjustment bolt. My power window was binding when I moved it to the up position. After I toyed with the position it works fine now. I'm not certain if all the doors have this adjustment screw but I've attached a picture of where it's located on my door ('88 JDM door on my '91 CRX). Hope that helps.[IMG][/IMG]
