Default has anyone tried b2d adapter?

I read thru threads about this: b engine with d tranny. The only cool thing about this would be for the rt4wd owners, I would think. Has any one tried this in their wagons? I found one but its like 1300 and was wondering if it is worth it.

Not worth it.

Why pay that much for a lesser transmission? Even the RT4WD owners just opt for a CRV trans and the original rear end OR keep a D-series motor in there.

It is pricey, but to find a manual crv tranny is kind of hard, making it pricey as well. Then I read there's a lot of fab work that needs to be done for the crv tranny to work with the 4wd components.
I was just thinking it would be less of a hastle. Like a direct drop in with the kit.

Google (just saying).

From what I've read over the years just about differences in engine/transmission dimensions, the challenge of combining another series engine with any D-series transmission while keeping the transmission in it's factory location is that it sits closer to the driver's side (LHD) compared to a B-series transmission in the same engine bay. Combine that with the extra size of the new engine, in your example a B-series, and the width of the adapter plate, you now have to figure out how to overcome any clearance issues with the frame and how to make the driver's side engine mount work.

Save your money and don't do it. Either build the existing engine or do like others in here said and use the CRV parts.
