Default Caster Issue

I took my 1991 Honda civic Hatch into get an alignment today. It has had a slight pull to the right ever since I got it. The only thing I have done to the car is put 15" wheels and 195 tires on the car. No other suspension work.

Well everything was okay except for the front right caster was at 1.8. The tech said that it was probably a bent upper control arm. But I am not sure and want some other opinions on the situation.

What do you guys think?

If you have no loose parts on the suspension, a sagging rear spring would most likely be the culprit of the excessive caster. The frame angle will change and induce more or less caster depending on ride height differences.

In any application where a tire wider than factory is used, the quality and wear of the current tires must be questioned. The extra grip will make a misalignment more obvious to the driver.

As long as the differential from side to side is close (within 0.5 degrees) You should have little if any problems with the alignment. If you do, it is because something else is too compliant, or is loose (like a bushing, or tie rod).

probably a more serious issue of damage to the front cross member and radius rod and other suspension parts because the wheel hit a curb or pot hole and got pushed back.

start taking side to side measurements like wheel base and control arm lengths and examining closely for differences.

or take it to another shop to do it for you.
