Buying a CRX after a failed hotwire attempt
Hi. My girlfriend is picking up her second crx today. the car is a 1989 crx vtec and it has suffered a failed attempt to hotwire. The ignition switch seems intact which from a few quick searches might be a good sign. The wires actually looked in better shape than her current crx too which i thought was odd.
Anyway if anyone has some insight as to what may have been fried or damaged when this hotwire attempt was made that would be fantastic. i am picking it up today and need to replace a battery then *fingers crossed* it will run.
Thanks

Just replace the ignition switch. It is about a 15 minute job.

Then check all of the fuses under the hood and inside the cabin.

Good deal, i was hoping it would be a fuse and maybe a quick wiring fix. that makes me feel much better about going to pick up this car. CRXs seem to always be destroyed when you find them for sale.
