Default 96 civic with d15b7 Idling Issue

i have a question. just recently acquired a 96 civic with a d15b7 swap in it. wasn't running at all when i got it. Finally got it to run, a couple of wires were loose and disconnected. it wont stay running for more than 5 seconds. you have to feather gas to get it to stay on, but even then it wont rev past 2000 rpms... i noticed the ecu in the car is from a 96 civic.
(37820-p2e-315) i also noticed he followed the diagrams for re-pinning and splicing of the wires. (iacv, iat, fuel injectors) Aren't you supposed to use an obd1 ecu?

also getting codes (9) cyp sensor, (14) iacv, (20) electrical load detector , (65) secondary cat
Thanks in advance

Ok the three wires in your first pic are for the CKF which your engine doesn't have (maybe they bypassed it?).

Second pic connector is for the IAT. You'll have to spice in a round style two pin connector to use the B7s sensor.

Third and fifth pic looks like wires for the EVAP purge buts hard to say but the colors are correct.

Fourth pic looks like you have the TPS (side of throttle body) and MAP sensor (top of throttle body) mixed up. Try switching them.

Use this thread to match any wires up

I don't see a pic of your distributor so I'm not sure of why your getting code 9 but it could be how they wired it.

If you've reset your codes and they all come back diagnose code 9

Also you can't use the 2 wire IACV with that ecu you're going to have to use a Y7 throttlebody.

Swapped out the distributor and ecu with one from a 96 civic ex. Runs better but still doesn't idle right. Has to be some wiring issue...
