Default 91 civic rt4wd

Hey H-T,

I have a 91 civic wagon rt4wd. I want to improve my gas mileage so I installed a pm8 ecu from a crx HF, but as you may know the cel light eventually turns on with CEL code 12 EGR sensor. This is because my manifold does not have a EGR sensor.

Is there any way to get rid of the code? like jumping the sensor my the ecu or do you think switching the manifold and wiring the EGR sensor would me better?

That's weird. Just keep using thepm6 aand drive slower. I always thought that the hf model got 50mpg was because of the smaller design of the tb and Im, Longer gearing, and I think the 12 valve design.

Use the right ECU for the right car.

What is wrong with your fuel mileage? Post mileage statistics and refueling data over at least 10 refueling events.

If your mileage does not agree with ratings, you either have problems that require attention to improve your economy, or you simply have a lead foot, or both.

Using the incorrect ECU for your motor will not result in better MPG. Your stock ECU (the one designed for your motor) will make your engine run most efficiently.

If you're looking for MPG, pump up your tyres, disengage the 4wd system using the 'tow home' feature on the RT4wd transmission, and shift early.
