2000 Civic Ex Power steering pump
Hey, I just bought a honda civic 2000 ex, first car, "yay" I took it to inspection, and they said I needed a power steering pump installed back into my car because it was there before. The previous owner removed it and just sealed the hole with a bolt so the fluid just leaked out. The rack is still in place though. I was wondering what my best option is in terms of just getting it passed for inspection, I really dont want to spend money on buying the pump and belt and lines, then removing it again, I actually like no p/s. I can possibly go another place for inspection but I need to get this resolved maybe take apart the rack and clean it up, if so how should I go about doing that I HAVE NO IDEA...thanks for reading this I know its long haha.
Jiffy lubes is where i went for an inspection

There are usually a couple shops/people within a regional area that will pass a car no matter the mods, at least there is here in Texas. Ask around where these people might be.
