1997 Honda accord v6 Crank, But No start!
I have this 97 accord and i can't figure out why it wont start.
all i know is that i think there was a short in the system. My aunt was driving it home one day and all the lights started flickering, radio turning off and on, and i think she said the wipers turned on by itself, before It died and wouldn't start up after that.
I thought it was the distributor cap and wires (as it was a reason the car didn't start before) so i bought new ones and replaced it. Nothing
I then looked at the battery positive wire's and they were loose, so I bought a new terminal and that didn't start it.
I notice that the check engine light stays on when i put the key in the on position. call me a noob but is that normal or does that mean that could be the key to figuring out the problem. Is is suppose to turn on then off?
but then again it could be a "ground" issue right?
Really don't know much about cars, but trying to learn. so any input could help. thank's again!

So even though no one even took the time and helped me. i thought i'd give an update. because im a nice person like that...
so it was my ECU that fried. looking at other website forums i pinpointed to that. So i bought one off of ebay for $35 installed it myself and the car started right up.
This is something you can do yourself. Don't pay a mechanic to do this. or even to diagnose this. You can look on forums like this to help you. I was stupid and paid a mechanic $35 off of craigslist and he told me what i already knew...
anyways hope this helps someone...
