Default Which clutch kit do you all recommend?

1997 Accord LX with a 5Speed(of course). Throw out bearing is worn out, as well as probably the input shaft bearing and the engagement point is right at the top of the clutch... It is still drivable but I would like to start looking to see what would be a good replacement for when I do change it out in the winter along with my belts, brakes and valve cover gasket and spark plug seals. Yay for catching up on maintenance that the previous owner didn't do...

But yeah, what clutches do you all use?

Exedy is factory IIRC. Amazon had a few kits on clearance a few months back, check there first.

Mk, I'll check them all out. Thanks. Can't wait to get rid of the marbles sound coming from the Throw out bearing...

If its releasing at the top of the pedal you may want to try adjusting the pedal before replacing the clutch. Mine would slip when it was hot outside and it released at the top of the pedal like yours did. After adjustment i didnt have any more slipping. P.O. had the clutch replaced at one point and didn't adjust the pedal.

Sorry for the delay, It makes the sound pedal out and I can hear it in neutral. I also have the marbles rolling sound when I'm driving around most of the time. How do I adjust the pedal? Because I have a good inch of free play before I get clutch resistance...

I am going to replace the input shaft bearing since I don't have a maintenance record of the car as well.

There is threads on here for pedal adjustment. Just do a quick search. Even if you do replace the clutch and the components that go with it it is a good idea to adjust the pedal afterwards to get the right feel and engagement.

If it makes the marble sound with the clutch pedal out then the issue is the input shaft bearing and there are two, the inboard and the outboard. It would be best to replace both.
