Default CA SMOG for V6 Accord: both mufflers needed to pass?

I have an odd question for you guys and I'm sorry if its been covered. I couldn't find the answer on google or searching on H-T.

I have a 2000 accord with the v6 J30 in it, pretty much completely stock from the factory.

The axle back on the passenger side completely rusted/corroded into pieces. I've been running an open exhaust ever since. SMOG is due in a month and I was wondering if it was SMOG legal to simply plug off the side that corroded.

1) Since exhaust modifications/aftermarket exhausts are not regulated (afaik), it would be the same as having a single-exhaust.

2) It's after the cat (the last emissions-related device in the chain) so it isn't altering emissions.

Any help/insight would be appreciated, I put this heap back together for cheap and would like to avoid spending on an axleback if I don't have to. Being that it's relatively low compression and plugged up by the cat, it sounds fine running open-muffler.

shouldn't. as long as the cat is where it should be there is no problem. the problem is when you change the setup and run piping separately from each bank. I have a smog license and I would not fail you for it.

Thanks a lot for your advice, I'm going this weekend after I spray the block-off with some VHT. (black or brown) so it's less eye-catching in raw aluminum lol

update: no visual for the back of the car since there's no tail pipe test anyway. Passed simply by having no CEL's
