all that stock good stuff. I was taking a cruise when I noticed my car kind of bogs a little when transitioning from 1st to 2nd. might I add all my shifts are under about 3200 rpms. and at the start of second gear and only in second gear, it jerks slightly, 3rd 4th and 5th are fine, just 2nd jerks until about 2900 rpms. here's another fun fact, I was just visually inspecting everything and took my spark plugs out to see how they were doing, the last time they were changed is unknown, but they all looked fair to me, let me just also state i just got the car about a week ago. only con I saw was oil in the 3rd spark plug well. all the others were fine. so that lead me next straight to the valve cover gasket, low an behold it's hard as a god damn rock. so I'm almost positive that will fix the oil in the spark plug? and would that cause the slight bog I'm going through? any insight would be very greatly appreciated. and my apologies for the life story

Ok valve cover gasket will only stop oil leaks around the valve cover externaly. You need spark plug tube seals and o-rings. The seals go on the valve cover on each spark plug tube the o-rings are located under the rocker arms. I suggest you do them all at once as it will allows for a much easier and cleaner install. If this does not fix your bag then it is simply bad compression or trans/clutch. I would also replace the sparks for peace of mind. All this can be done for 50.00 or less if you do it yourself. I would also recommend replacing your spark wire plugs. Old change. Don't use synthetic on your older car. Use high milage conventional. Your old seals will leak with synthetic. Stay with 10-30 or go up in weight by 10 if you are burning oil slowly. These are my opinions and may differ from others. Regular maintenance should always be done.
yes, I failed to specify when I meant valve cover gasket I meant the whole kit, the gaskets to go under everything, and a nice in detail full service/tuneup is yet to come, spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil, air/oil filter. all that good stuff, I'm on he right path I just like to over prepare and further dig about a subject to get every last bit of info I can that's why I ask. other peoples opinions really help me. but thank you for the feedback!!
