I have some potentially good news for those of us who are fans of the Denji projector headlights. I personally have a 94 Hatchback and the Denji company sent me an email saying they will begin producing their Gen 1 headlamps again TOMORROW 9/8/14.

I responded asking a few questions to see if I can sniff out whether it is legit or not. I got the email off of the original Denji website and contacted them some time ago saying they would get back to me when they have further information. Well they finally emailed a response about an hour ago today.

They told me $120 + $70 shipping (to New Jersey).

What do y'all think? Legit or no?

Just got another email saying all the materials are ready for the factory to produce it tomorrow.

 

halogen projectors? better quality than most ebay stuff tho it looks the same...

 

I Really hope your information is correct :D As I also just sent Denji an email yesterday asking about pricing for a set of their Gen 1 headlights for my 95 coupe.. Crossing my fingers they get back to me soon on prices to Vancouver Canada. I Love those projectors and they're hard to find.. would really like to grab a pair over the next few weeks.

 

Actually I ordered some. They should be here within a day or two I'll post pictures when I receive them.

dude those are definitely legit denji's you can tell because the projectors are blue. hopefully i can find a pair here in a couple weeks when i get the funds.

 

you can get them with clear or blue lens. If they aren't glass they're fake.

 

Does the blue reduce the light output?
I mean how blue's the light, does it look like ricer eBay HIDizzles?

 

Do they still use H3 bulbs and does the light output still suck?

 

No the blue hue really isn't noticeable. And yeah they're still H3's I just ordered HIDs for em

 

I had a set of these back in the 90's. Didn't care for the light output and the H3's are terribly unreliable, but they looked pretty good. Always thought they would be great for an HID projector swap without using the ugly *** clear lens lights.

Looks like they still about the same price too, that's crazy 17 years later!!!

 

Well.... I guess these aren't all that "rare" anymore haha
either way, I love them and will probably order a set once my black housings sell

 

Hit up Ebay right now Denji is selling around 10 sets of the GEN I headlights which i just ordered a pair and they also have a few sets of the GEN III headlights with the halos. They are being sold BY Denji's online store on Ebay so they shouldn't be fake. Although they are a bit pricey with shipping but definitely worth it considering how hard they are to find.

 

Don't see how it's worth it to get light output that's shittier than stock.

The Denji headlights i ordered last week arrived in the mail this morning they're very nice looking headlights and better quality than i expected. Can't wait to get 'em installed.
