yzf400 for 1st bike
the other day i say that a friend of mine has a bike on the side of his house. i didn't get all the details but he says it does run, but something's wrong with 2nd gear (i guess it doesn't work so you have to shift past it), and since he doesn't ride it anymore, he'd sell it to me for $200. i was looking on ebay and seen a bike that looked like his and it was an '89 yamaha yzf 400. i'm gonna talk to my friend again soon and find out all the details about the bike but so far, it sounds like a pretty good deal for a beginners bike. what do you guys think?
you're thinking fzr400, not yzf. It's got two big round headlights right? That's a friggin great budget track bike. Along w/ the kawi ex500, they are pretty much THE budget track bikes. Course someone will disagree w/ me. Lots of parts and cheap. A decent beginner bike but I'd be cautious if you're aren't mechanically inclined or prepared to fork out money to fix it up.
