I have a 96 civic ek hatch that used to be automatic and hot converted before I got it. The ecu has been giving me problems so I got a p28 to swap it when I pulled the automatic ecu out, the fourth connector wasn't there now I can't connect the p28 in cause the fourth connector is needed for the jumper harness. Please help !

 

What motor is in the car?

Your civic is ODB2 car the p28 is ODB1 so to run it in your car your going to need a ODB2 to ODB1 ecu conversion harness. Check the classifieds I think I seen one there not to long ago.

OP, theres only 3 plugs for each obd. upload a pic of what you have.

 

I got the obd2a jumper harness with a d16y7 motor in there. It used to be automatic but got converted to a 5spd .the ecu for an automatic civic is in there now and I'm trying to hook up the p28

 

Oooooooo op, the last connection is for the auto plug. Dnt worry about that. I did my auto to manual swap and i had to leave the last plug.

 

Did you use a ob2a to obd1 jumper cause that is what I have and it doesn't fit my third plug. Will a obd2b jumper fit the third plug
