My power steering fluid is leaking and the level is very low and needs topping up. I was told to use only Honda branded power steering fluid as others will cause damage. I've seen a few third party brands at local car parts store which say Stop Leaks on their title but cannot find Honda branded anywhere other than eBay and on the description part, it doesn't say anything whether it will stop leaks. So I'm confused now, does anyone know if the Honda power steering fluid actually stop leaks?

 

I doubt it unless the leaks were caused by using the wrong fluid

at pretty much any auto parts store there are 2 kinds of Powersteering fluid

fluid for hondas and fluid for everything else,

the stuff for hondas acuras will say it on the bottle, unless you go to the dealer it will not be made by Honda

 

No it does not stop leaks, Honda rack and pinions use specifically Honda fluid unless otherwise noted by specific yr/make/models.

 

No, Honda fluid doesn't have stop leak in it. Stop leak is a horrible creation, and will destroy your rack. Fix the leak.

 

There is NO fluid that will stop leaks in anything. If by some miracle the wrong fluid caused a part to leak that part is now damaged and needs repaired.

 

if you use any kind of stop leak in anythig the only thing are doing is swelling up your seals, when In time it will start to leak worse than ever
