I have a swap question now my 98 Civic LX has a D16Y7 but I found a 01 Civic with a D17A6 Vtech both have a 5 speed manual now the question now would it be worth it to swap out my D16 for the D17 or a waste of time?

 

It's not worth it. And in the future please start a new thread if the topic is different so as not to confuse.

 

 

Don't do it, I've heard horror stories about d17.
Do a mini me swap with your current setup, or the d15/vtec mashup.

 

okay so from the sounds of it what I should do at this point what I should do is continue with my turbo install and buy a p90, high flow pump, high performance injectors, and replace my now slipping clutch with the exedy stage 3 with light weight flywheel and new throw out.
