Default best intake manifold for 2.0L

Im upgrading from my 1.8L setup which i ran ported itr intake manifold, tuner 2 cams and dtr/hytech side exit header, car made 218hp and was running mid 12s at 104-106 @ around 2400lbs with crap 1.8 60's

Now i have a 85x89 13:1 bottom end, and a 4 piston cnc ported b16 head. I havnt picked out cams or intake manifold yet

Car is used for drag only so power band needs to be 6-7k to 9k+, looking to make 240+ and get the car into 11s

I was kinda leaning towards tuner3s as i already have alpha valve springs, but my gut tells me i will prob need pro2s or pro3s? to make my goal

Has anyone tried the new sk2 ultra series manifolds on an all motor car yet? I was thinking about trying the ported sk2 ultra race with 90mm throttle body from 4 piston. Am i on the right track or way off here?

for drag racing, i say you're definitely on the right track especially with that Intake Manifold choice. For cams, Pro3s over the Tuner3s for sure. I am making 258whp on 91oct with the Pro3s, and 274whp on FTW. The Pro3s are also for sale (Pro3IN and Pro2EX). If interested, PM me

Why don't you consult 4piston? They know what would work best with their head.

I will consult with the guys from 4 piston, but part of the reason i made this thread was to get the info out in the open. There is tons of info on 11-11.5:1 street b20v's running on 91 fuel making 220-230hp. Not nearly as much info out there for the 240+hp builds.

i think if your current setup is built and tuned properly, it'll definitely be 240+. lets not talk dyno numbers here... more importantly, you will get into the 11's. the block is solid, the head is excellent, and so is the header. 4piston's had great results with the Ultra Race and the Pro3s,(so it be a good start) .. all thats left is your fuel, gearing, and traction.

My EK with me in it was also 2400lbs. on :

- 258whp - 91oct - 23inch slicks (1.7 60ft at Sac) - full exhaust - ITR tranny (4.928 final ... also had to short shift going into 2nd due to synchro problems ) ...... i was able to land a 12.087

If you know who DonF is, he made more power with the Pro3 intake and Pro2 exhaust than any other cam setup... same exact setup Calvin is selling. I'd buy that in a heartbeat. You can't buy ANY shelf cams that will beat that combo that I know of.

I haven't seen any dynos, but if you think an extra $600+ dollars for the ultra race over the Victor X sounds like a good way to spend your money then by all means. I personally doubt it even outperfroms it by much.... but like I said, not many dynos out of it.

I have already made arrangements to buy calvins setup, he is local to me so it works out perfectly

I may be wrong, but the ultra race seems to be similar design to victor x but allows more flexibility as its a modular design. I can get ultra race for 575 here so yes its double the price but not like were in kinslers territory or anything

Oh ok that's not a bad price at all, I thought they were closer to $800, I haven't checked in awhile.

Then the throttle body price so it adds up in a hurry.
