My buddy just bought an 89 CRX DX. He bought it mainly as a work vehicle but I am trying to talk him into swapping a B16 over to it . Are there any maintenance items he should check? The car has 87000 miles on it. Also, what is the bolt pattern of the wheels? Is it 4x100? Can anyone give a rough estimate on how much it would cost to swap over an older B16 into it including the cost of the HAsport kit? Anybody that has done this care to comment? Thanks for the help guys.

 

if it's a work vehicle and only has 87000 miles.. just leave it as is

if he wants to be faster b16 would cost from $2,000-2,500 plus labor

4X100 is the bolt pattern

he will also need to convert it to multiport instead of dual point.. that would be the cheapest and biggest power gain.
