I might buy a 1994 Accord EX. Something I noticed is how tight the engine compartment is. For example, difficult to access the transmission dipstick. I used to own a 2006 Accord and there was much more room. I looked at a 2002 Accord recently and I don't remember it being so tight.

Are all 5th Generation Accords like this? Is there a year when a little bit more room to move around was added?

 

Yeah, even the v6 bay is kind of tight, but all things considered it's not that bad. In my opinion the abs and battery are the worst, once the battery is relocated it's not so bad

 

Have you parked a 2006 Accord next to a 1994? Did you happen to notice it's pretty much doubled in size?

I never thought the '94 Accord engine bay was tight at all.
