Rebuild kit question
99 Honda civic lx sedan
I recently started an engine repair and rebuilding class at my college, and I wanted to rebuild my motor, because if I'm gunna have a d-series, I might as well have the good gas mileage it came with out of the factory. I looked at a few rebuild kits, and I found an eBay one for 290, and it wasn't very specific about what it had. So I found a different one, and its 340, and includes new pistons.

Does this seem like a good price? I haven't ever rebuilt a motor before, so I figure a y7 would be a good start, but I dunno how much a kit should cost. Thanks!

Id only use OEM parts for your OEM engine.
Whats wrong with your engine that you think it needs rebuilding..?
There are many factors that cause good/bad gas mileage. the major factor happens to be your right foot.
