Bad Main Relay? '93 Honda Accord EX
Hey guys, I've got a '93 Accord EX with an F22A6 engine and automatic transmission thats been sitting in the back yard for about 3 years and it's about time to pull her out of the grass.
Borrowing the battery from my Prelude, I hooked/powered everything up and tried starting the engine, however it is a crank/no start problem.
This particular car has had intermittent starting problems before and from limited research I've done I've found the Main Relay can cause starting issues because if the solder joints inside crack it can result in the fuel pump not receiving power and therefore not actuating.
As far as I can tell, when you go Ignition On, you should be a distinct "click" and then 2-3 seconds later another "click." Apparently this is the fuel pump "priming" and then disengaging and when you start the engine, the ECU re-energizes the pump when it detects a signal from the Crank Position Sensor. When I turn Ignition On in this car, I do NOT hear any clicks at all, nor do I hear the fuel pump priming. When I try to start the engine, it cranks over strong, but does not fire. Could this be the Main Relay screwing with me? If not, what else could cause this problem?

There's a 17mm bolt head on the fuel rail. Turn the ignition to on. Then turn it off and open that bolt with a rag nearby to catch a lil bit of fuel spraying out. If you got fuel it's not fuel related. Then you check for spark.
