Default FS: 2008 BMW E60 M5 6MT Socal

*SOLD*

Hey Honda-tech, might be a bit of a long shot posting this here but i've been a honda-tech member for years (nearly 15 years! wow) and have a bunch of friends here so I figured I'd share. LMK if you're interested in my beast. I'd much rather sell it to another car enthusiast than somebody from criagslist.

OEM BMW E60 car cover

This has been my dream car since I first read about it but I have enough projects going on (we're getting money together to build our dream home). So hopefully somebody else can enjoy it as much as I do. Car has been extremely reliable and has never had a problem since i've owned it.

I am the 2nd owner (bought with 50k miles), clean carfax, currently 63k miles. I looked for a year to find the perfect example, fully loaded, with a manual transmission. I found the car in Las Vegas although the car was originally purchased in San Diego. Car spent most of its life in Socal with a year in Las Vegas. It has been meticulously maintained and cared for.

The good:

The paint is 9.5/10. I would give it a 10/10 but there is some water spots here and there that could be easily buffed out.
The interior is 9/10. Seats are in excellent condition, no rips. Leather dash is perfect.
No codes, runs perfect, extremely fast and balanced, just smogged.
Recent Blackstone oil report found nothing, engine is extremely happy

The bad:

The pervious owner modified the center console trim piece to accept the new style iDrive and did an ok job, i've been meaning to replace it with a 2010 trim piece but just haven't yet. It is not bad, just not perfect.
There is a super small bent at the bottom of the passenger door that is really hard to see - but there.
The rear tires are getting to the end of life and need to be replaced. I can work with the new owner on this depending on the price.

$34,000/obo

On to the pictures

I don't have a picture of the car with a sign of my name as my car is at home and i'm at work (drove my other car), but here is my insurance card which has the VIN and of course my signed name etc. Hopefully this will be OK. MODS - feel free to contact me if you need further information.

Thanks, Buddy! The blackstone report is really popular in the BMW M community because actually having a look inside the engine is a multi-thousand dollar checkup because of the complexity of the oiling system. Also the S85 V10 (and S65 V8 in the M3 which was based on the S85) have numerous early rod bearing failure because apparently BMW picked a very tight clearance on the bearings and on top of the high rpms ~8250rpm redline means bearing issues. Although my car has been one of the good ones, zero issues and always an excellent blackstone report. Since an oil change is nearly $300 anyway (10 quarts of $18 oil plus an oil filter) another $20 for a blackstone report is a no-brainer. I get one done on every oil change. I highly recommend it.

For anybody reading this, don't let the maintenance scare you. Yes, it does cost more than a Honda, but i've had zero issues with this car. Just take care of it. Having a stock car that runs low 12s, has a top speed of 204mph, sounds like a V10 Lamborghini, and seats 5 in comfort with all the toys - it's an amazing machine! And for $34k, it's a steal!

Hopefully somebody else can enjoy my car as much as I did.

I'll be going to Big Socal Euro meet this weekend at Qualcomm stadium and will bring along my M5 if anybody wants to check it out. Maybe i'll see some of you there.
