Default D16Y8 Build...Anyone using B-Series B18 Engine Bearings??

I'm building a d16y8 for boost. My desired bearing clearance is .0018 to .0020" for the mains and rods. This is my first SOHC build and I have a set of new B18a OEM Honda bearings that will fit the desired bearing clearances for the y8 engine.

However, is it possible to use a set of rod or main bearings from a b series on a y8 engine? FYI, the y8 has aftermarket Eagle rods. I haven't had a chance to cross reference part numbers between the bearings but I've heard rumors of others using bearings from different motors. I wouldn't mind saving a few hundred dollars and getting use of the unused b-series bearings that have been collecting dust if it will work.

TIA...

I dont know if they have the same width and oiling holes drilled but I did find that bseries and dseries have the same journal size for rods and mains.
