I'm stuck between an 85 civic which I'll post a link to and a 79 Rabbit diesel. I'm leaning toward the civic for lower cost to own but also the Rabbit would be sweet to have. Figured I'd reach out to people who know the car. No link to Rabbit I just found it at a guys house who said he would sell it. Tell me what ya think about the civic please. The Civic is a decent buy, but I have a soft place in my heart for VW diesels. I'd have to see the other one to tell you for sure, but the Honda looks fairly solid.

 

id get the vw just bc there are billons of the civic, you can find them all day everyday for sale cheap, the rabbit on the other hand, not many

All you Volkswagen lovers on here! Lol tell me what ya think of this one.... can get it for 1400. White smokes like crazy, says injection pump needs timed and an injector. Hesitant to buy it and have to drive it like that to my buddies house, 30 minutes away from where it is. Feels like it's down on power.

Civic looks solid but, I would be leery of 30 year old automatic tranny, I don't care how well the vehicle was kept.

VW looks like a piece o crap. Especially when it still smokes after all those new parts.
