Default Trim removal?

Wanting to remove this trim to paint it but dont wanna accidentally damage it. was gonna use a trim panel tool on it but dont wanna risk damaginf without a second opinion. Heard someone say something about fishing string? Have any of you removed this? Its the long pieve that runs accross the middle from the front fender well to the back.

Take off the door panels. Peel back the plastic and there you have it! 20 min job to get all panels off.
