Default Need some help or advise for my ITR

Hi guys, I need your help and some advices with my engine, the last week I tune my car, i bought a Skunk2 stage 2 Tuner Camshafts part number 305-05-0145, valve springs and titanium retainers to my B18C JDM engine and it reached 170whp on dyno, the problem with this is before i put the cams the engine was reaching 191whp. Now i donīt know how can reach the same numbers or more than 191whp. After I tune my car in the dyno we check the engine compression and it has with 250psi in each cylinder. The engine has the next components:

B16B PCT Pistons 81mm
AEM Cams Gears
AEM Fuel Rail
AEM Fuel Regulator
AEM Dual Chamber Cold Air Intake
K&N Air Filter
Edelbrok Victor X Admission
Walbro 255lph
2.5" Jasma Mugen Header 4-2-1
Catback exhaust System 3"
MSD External Coil Distribuitor
P28 Chipped Ecu
Cometic Head Gasket 0.30
MSD Spark Plug Wires
NGK Iridium Plugs

Can you give some advice to reach more than 191whp? or should I get dif brand of cams for ITR engine ? what will be the ideal cams ! if that's the problem, thks

If your going for power that header isn't very good, that 3 inch exhaust is to big, stick with 2.5 inch

You're pushing your luck with those terrible pistons and a thinner head gasket plus aftermarket cams you're going to have some contact problems

And you need something to tune the car like hondata , chipped ecu's are junk

3" exhaust is fine.

Either tuner is suspect, or those cams just aren't working well for your setup.

Go back to itr cams and see if you get 191whp again.

Somebody needs a real tune, and/or to dial in those cams properly.

Thks guys for your valid point of view, so far changing pistons and ECu Hondata Will be on the new toy list in order to improve performance, for now i Will switch to the OEM ITR Cams , but was wierd to me with that compression not being to be able to reach more Hp , than with the original ITR Cams

You mentioned those headers weren't good for power. What are the benefits of those headers? I ask because I have the same exact ones and was considering putting them on my car...

The mugen header isn't bad.

The collector is just small.

The Toda header (or replica) is better across the board however.

Yeah it will do good on a stock motor ,, it's just not good for built motors

I don't think the headers may be the problem, i think could be computer and pistons maybe.

Tough love here:

Get rid of the victor x intake manifold.

Use stock or ported itr IM, or even performer X IM.

Get a real tune!

A chipped ecu is just crap and is probably losing power for you.

Other things:

Pro 1 cams.

Toda header (or knockoff).

Ported head.

I would not suspect the cams to be your loss of power, I'm making 200+ hp with the same cams. BUT a complete different setup. I would upgrade to a skunk2 ultra street manifold, A hondata s300 and get it tuned.

I still think a 3" exhaust is too big for your setup, the lack of back pressure could be hurting your setup.

IMO, 168WHP is what you should be with the original set up as I find it hard to belive that you made 191WHP. stage 2 Tuner Cams should be tune with S300 and not with 3" exhaust system as you will loose back pressure. My dinosaur stage 2 JUN cams with 84mm bore, head work and stock 2.25" USDM exhaust system made 221WHP.
So, to recap: Put your stage 2 Tuner Cams back in. Run S300 with 2.25"-2.5" exhaust and have it tune. I'm guessing you should hit around 200WHP give and take a little.
