Default Looking for Reputable and Trustworthy Engine Reseller

Hello All,

I'm looking to do an engine swap on my 98 EX (F23A4), 5 speed. I am considering doing a H22/H23 swap or even a F22 or F20B swap. However, I am probably leaning more toward getting another F23A4 or F23A1 for simplicity sake.

I see places on Ebay, and I have found a few places doing my own research. I am looking for a reputable and trustworthy reseller. One I can believe when they claim the engine has been pressure tested, and fairly recently. Do you have specific recommendations? Have you dealt with them personally?

Has anyone had an engine shipped to an apartment? I have a garage to work in, but I've read in some places they require a commercial delivery address. I can make alternate arrangements, but I'm curious if anyone tried this before as well.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

if it helps, when i ordered a transmission from synchrotech it cost me more to have it shipped to a residence that to a commercial address because of needing a different truck though with a liftgate and it was going from cali to texas.

the truck driver had one of those electric liftgates and a palletjack and even helped me get the crate into the garage. and included the cost for picking up the dead trans and loading it up too.

if you're old and fat like me its probably best to just have it delivered to the place you'll be installing.

in case you didnt know, the f23a1 is the 49-state emissions engine, check your laws before swapping it into a cali car, i think it even has to be out of the same year or newer car. idk in texas we do whatever
