Default help!!! cant get d series tranny installed

I have a d15b2 block and a transmission from d16a6. I got the tranny in place, but it won't go all the way on. There's about a half inch gap, like something's blocking it. Are they compatible or no? What do I do?

The trans input shaft is not aligned properly with the clutch disk.

That or you just need to rotate the tranny gears a nudge because you're in between splines.
