Default how high can you raise coilovers?

I'm trying to raise my crx to better fit my m&h 235/60-15 dot tires. I have pic coilovers and I was just wondering how high can your raise them as far as threads go? I raised them all the way till the tube body twisted off...then put it on 5 full turns as I felt only a couple turns wouldn't be sufficent enough to hold it in place or be safe. Is this right?

Doesn't sound like you can safely raise it any further.

Pics always help tell the story better.

And those kinds of coilovers are made for lowering. There's not a lot of shock travel so you can only have so much range.
