Icon2 LX (d17a1) in an EX (d17a2) HELP!!!!

Hey everybody this is my first post! So I have an 02 civic EX (d17a2) and i threw a rod. I purchased a d17a1 from an LX civic and I was wondering if it will be compatible. Im swapping the heads so it will still be vtec and i wont have to change the ecu. Ive done so much searching but im stumped. Anybody have some insight?
