Default Getting a gsr swap emissions worthy

Hey all, ive recently just entered the honda scene with a 94 hatch si and 95gsr swap, obd1 obviously (i did not do the swap, which means i need to hunt down all the shortcuts the guy took during the swap)

I took it to get emissions tested for ***** and giggles and the results were anything but encouraging. Name: qTJKAi6.jpg

i already have an evap canister coming, my concerns are the actual emissions. I had hoped it didnt have a cat and that was the reason but it does unfortunately so i gotta dig deeper -.-

The guy said it was tuned rich because he was going to turbo it, so i have a feeling that if i actually tune it properly it will hopefully pass or at least help. This is where my knowledge ends haha, it has a phearable.net ecu - ive looked all over the internet and i cannot find the same one as mine, Name: XjUSMGv.jpg

Size: 511.2 KB i need to figure out what cable i need, and how to wire it to the ecu to connect to my laptop, hopefully someone knows anything about this specific ecu lol. Im also looking for a wideband o2 sensor (the guy just dropped a default map in there, so theres no o2 sensor -.-) and i need some direction on a decent one thats relatively inexpensive and how to wire it to my ecu.

Wow that was a long post, hopefully you guys have some insight

edit: just realized its the original ecu, its just been chipped by phearable.net, amazing what googling model numbers can do

are you trying to bar this engine to the car??

if so its rather simple to get all you need together if you got some money.
if you have the original intake manifold still good google the evap directions its easy to find a diagram picture. as for headers need to be stock as well and recommend a stock air box to.

you will need the p72 ecu obd1 gsr to run the motor properly make sure all fuctions work no check engine light with the stock p72 ecu. only way to no if you got any thing missing that needs correction is to get your hands on a p72 ecu first hook it up and see the codes it throws.

and last but not least i would really recommend a good known working HONDA cat and o2 sensor. aftermarket just dont cut it when it comes to smog.

its pain in the *** after all that you just gotta cross your fingers and hope the engine can still pass the emissions. your look decent so id say go for it i mean you kinda oready put your self in the hole inless that was a practice smog not a real smog.

and it will definitly bring that value of the car up when or if you ever want to sell it. good luck

if your not looking to bar it, definitly get a cheater smog and take that p28 to a tuner so he can do some tuning on that motor and get the most out of it saftly.

thanks for the replies, realistically i would like to bar it. However i would just end up modifying it more and voiding the bar. I think a cheater smog is a good option but idk where to go to do one, and im too afraid to bribe the smog people xD so if anyone knows anyone around the tempe area let me know haha. Also i think i decided on going the moates ostrich 2.0 with hulog rout for tuning. if i can just get the evap can installed and get the emissions down it should pass. And im sure evryone says this but i dontplan on selling it, my long term goal is to turbo it, clean the interior and repaint and daily drive the hell out of it
