I have a 97 honda civic lx. After running for a while when i stop, the temperature gauge goes up. I bleeded the radiator and it still seems to try to overheat. What else can i do to find out what is wrong. It hasn't gone up to red. But i want to fix it before i ruin the head gasket.

 

Any maintenance done? What coolant type are you using?

 

Yes i have. I bleeded the system. Change the thermostat and radiador can. I checked the fan by jumping it to the battery and it worked. Checked the relay by using a paperclip and the fan worked.

Does it cool down once you start moving again? How many miles on it?
