1993 Accord SE intermittent no start
Hi folks I have a 93 SE that will not start about twice a week. It has a new main relay and new distributer, new wires new plugs new plug tube seals and new valve cover gasket. It runs fine 100% of the time but after sitting overnight will not start. I've attempted to rule out the ignition switch by wiggling but never get a loss of power. It is my sisters car and so far has not had a problem starting while I've had it. She did say while idling sometimes it will shut off. A clean quick shut down as if someone turned off the ignition switch. It runs fine at wot and high rpm leading me to believe it is not fuel related. Anyone have any ideas ?? When it doesn't start she says it just cranks and cranks
Pull apart the ignition switch(the plastic electrical part, not the metal key tumbler) and look for arcing or damaged contacts. If they are worn/pitted it is time for a new switch.
I would tell you to check out TechAuto link in my sig, but the site is down til next month.
